Join our team as a Physical Therapist Tech!

This is a full-time position assisting therapists in providing safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient care, assisting therapist with patient transfers, monitoring patient exercises under the direct supervision of a therapist, and performing clerical and environmental tasks as directed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Prepares patients, treatment areas, equipment and supplies for treatment.
  • Prepares patients for their therapy session by welcoming, comforting, transitioning as directed, and providing and/or assisting patient into physical therapy apparel or apertures.
  • Follows established procedures pertaining to the care of equipment and supplies including completion of cleaning logs.
  • Completes daily and monthly checks in accordance to Infection Control Manual and Procedures
  • Completing forms and records, making copies, filing forms, obtaining necessary signatures and maintaining orderly and accurate patient.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instruction; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Monitor and assist physical therapists and or patients with exercises.
  • Reports to work as scheduled.
  • Answer Phones and handle customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of a relevant technical program, certification and/or registration preferred
  • CPR/BLS Certification preferred

 

Experience:

  • A background in exercise is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to seek and accept direction and clarification from others
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information
  • Should possess organizational skills and be able to multi-task effectively
